This substantial piece once held liquid in bulk—likely ale, vinegar, or spirits—and was used by the well-known Glassons Ltd, a Penrith-based company.

The bottle is topped with a cork stopper and features classic salt-glazed stoneware in a rich brown tone, enhanced by the woven wicker protection that adds to its utilitarian charm.
