A superb and rare original WW2 British Army Captain’s mess jacket and waistcoat belonging to the Green Howards regiment.

This striking two-piece uniform features a rich red wool jacket with contrasting deep green lapels and cuffs, adorned with intricate gold bullion trim and beaded detail.

The interior is lined in ivory with excellent attention to period-correct tailoring and design.

The accompanying waistcoat complements the jacket with its deep green wool base, echoing the ornate gold embellishments and decorative front fastenings.

Both pieces include the regiment’s insignia – silver bullion embroidered badges with red and green detail – proudly displayed on the lapels.

This set is presented in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age and wear. A rare find for collectors of military memorabilia or period costume enthusiasts.
