This original WWI-era military cap badge features the royal cypher “GRV” (George Rex V), a crowned lion rampant on a shield, and the proud Scottish motto “Albanich,” meaning “Scots” in Gaelic.

Crafted in brass, this piece is framed by a laurel and thistle wreath, surmounted by the Imperial Crown.

This rare badge would have been worn by Scottish soldiers serving under King George V, likely linked to the King’s Own Scottish Borderers or a related Scottish regiment.
