A German skeleton mantel clock, produced during the 20th century and designed to showcase its internal mechanical movement.
This open-frame clock is constructed with a combination of brass and dark metal supports, allowing full visibility of the gears, escapement, and internal workings.
The silvered chapter ring is finished with Roman numerals and contrasting black hands, creating a clear and traditional time display against the exposed mechanism.
The clock is surmounted by a polished brass bell with finial, adding both decorative appeal and functionality in keeping with classic skeleton clock design.
The movement is mounted on a four-pillar frame with turned feet, giving the piece a balanced architectural form often associated with these horological displays.
Marked “Made in Germany” to the dial, this example reflects the long-standing tradition of German clockmaking and mechanical craftsmanship.
Please note the clock requires a service and is currently sold as a non-running piece, making it suitable for restoration or display.
