A mid-century Kanawha glass pitcher, produced in the United States and finished in a rich amber tone typical of the period.
The body is formed in a distinctive flattened shape with a broad shoulder and gently flared pouring lip, combining practicality with sculptural design.
Centrally moulded with a sailing ship in relief, the decoration adds depth and character, capturing a classic maritime motif within the glass.
The surface displays a lightly textured finish, enhancing the warmth and depth of the amber colouring when it catches the light.
The base curves subtly inward, giving the piece a balanced and slightly organic profile consistent with mid-century glassware design.
A decorative and functional piece, suitable for use or display, and representative of Kanawha’s recognised American art glass production.
