A decorative plaster figure depicting the Madonna and Child, presented in the traditional iconography of “Notre Dame des Victoires.”
The Virgin Mary is shown crowned and robed in richly detailed garments with gilt highlights and blue drapery, holding the Christ Child, who is similarly crowned and draped.
The figure stands upon a cloud base adorned with cherubic faces, a classic motif symbolising divinity and heavenly presence.
At the front of the base is a titled cartouche reading “Notre Dame des Victoires,” referencing the revered Marian devotion associated with victory and protection.
Executed in painted plaster, the piece reflects mid-20th century devotional craftsmanship, combining expressive modelling with hand-applied colour and gilded accents.
