A Moorcroft pottery bowl of rounded form, decorated internally with a tubelined floral motif set against a rich green ground.
The central flower is rendered in deep red and pink tones with subtle blue and yellow accents, framed by stylised leaves in muted greens and ochre hues.
The design is executed in Moorcroft’s signature tubelining technique, where raised outlines define each element before being filled with softly blended glazes, creating depth and a slightly relief-textured surface.
The interior decoration contrasts with the darker outer glaze, giving the piece visual weight and balance.
The underside bears Moorcroft markings, indicating English manufacture. The bowl presents as a decorative example of Moorcroft’s floral wares, combining bold colour with traditional craftsmanship.
Condition note:
There is an old, professionally repaired crack, visible upon close inspection. This has been stabilised and does not detract from the overall display quality, but is reflected in the pricing.
