A charming pair of late 19th century Victorian bisque porcelain piano babies, modelled as seated infants with expressive hand-painted features and soft blush tones.

Each figure is beautifully detailed, with one wearing a tall top hat and the other a wide-brimmed bonnet, both complemented by delicately applied pastel garments.

These figures were traditionally displayed on pianos or shelves to prevent rattling of decorative items, becoming highly collectible examples of Victorian domestic ornament.

The modelling captures a playful innocence, with animated facial expressions and naturalistic poses typical of the period.

Both figures retain their original hand-painted decoration, with moulded detailing to the hair, garments, and facial features.
