An original vintage advertising tin by Keiller, produced in printed metal with a cylindrical form and removable lid.
The tin features bold period typography and branding, including “Keiller Finest Confectionery Butterscotch Pieces” and references to James Keiller & Son Ltd of Dundee & London.
The reverse and sides display additional advertising text for chocolate assortments, listing varieties such as chocolate fingers, fruit cream, peppermint cream, and assorted fudge.
The cream ground is contrasted with black lettering, creating a clear and distinctive visual style typical of early to mid-20th century confectionery packaging.
Keiller is historically associated with Dundee marmalade and confectionery production, and tins of this nature were used for storage and display of sweets, later becoming collectible advertising pieces.
A characterful and authentic example, suitable for display or collection.
