A handsome early 20th century Arts & Crafts mantel clock crafted from hand-hammered copper and decorated with stylised organic motifs typical of the movement.
The case features a rich planished surface enhanced by riveted detailing, embossed berry and leaf decoration, and a gently shaped architectural form raised on splayed feet.
At the centre sits a circular enamel dial with elegant Arabic numerals and period hands, framed by a decorative hammered surround.
The clock houses a 17 jewel 30-hour movement and is currently keeping time, making it both a decorative and functional addition to the home.
The design embodies the Arts & Crafts philosophy of honest craftsmanship and hand-worked materials, with the hammered copper surface creating a warm, tactile appearance that develops character with age.
The rear access panel allows access to the movement while maintaining the clean aesthetic of the case.
A superb example of Arts & Crafts metalwork that would complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.
