Decorative antique cloisonné enamel belt buckle of rectangular form, worked in gilt metal with colourful enamel decoration.

The buckle features black enamel panels decorated with stylised floral motifs in blue, green, pink and white, surrounded by further geometric and foliate enamel work.

The sides are particularly detailed, with enamelled bird motifs incorporated into the design.

The reverse retains the original buckle mechanism with multiple prongs and fastening bar. A highly decorative example of antique enamelled costume accessories.
