A magnificent and highly ornate antique Tibetan copper teapot, crafted in the repoussé technique and richly adorned with turquoise cabochons.
This ceremonial piece features a pyramidical body decorated with intricate figures, sacred symbols, and floral motifs.
The handle is sculpted in the form of a coiled dragon—a powerful symbol of protection and strength in Tibetan mythology—while the spout emerges from the mouth of a stylised phoenix, symbolising rebirth and spiritual transformation.
The teapot’s domed lid is topped with a conical finial and decorated with bold, expressive faces and mythological creatures, evoking a sense of spiritual guardianship.
Each panel on the body is framed in geometric borders and detailed with fine, raised relief work, highlighting traditional Tibetan artistry.
Likely used in a monastic or ceremonial setting, this piece is as much a spiritual artefact as it is a decorative object. It would make a striking centrepiece in any collection of Himalayan or Buddhist art.
