Issued in 1957, this impressive ceramic model commemorates one of Britain’s most recognisable royal figures and showcases the exceptional craftsmanship for which Beswick became renowned.
The figure portrays The Duke in ceremonial military dress, complete with bearskin cap, medals, sash and detailed uniform, seated upon a beautifully modelled grey horse.
The horse is finished with finely painted tack, saddlecloth and subtle dappling, while the rider features intricate hand-painted decoration throughout.
Designed with remarkable attention to detail, this sought-after Beswick model remains a favourite amongst collectors of royal memorabilia, equestrian ceramics and British pottery.
