A fascinating and highly personal framed collection of 85 enamel pin badges, representing various Olympic Games and international ice skating events.
This curated display originates from the collection of Roy Callaway (1917–2014), a respected professional ice dancer and coach, known for performing at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and later coaching prominent skaters including Torvill & Dean, as well as members of the Royal Family.
The pins are neatly arranged within a glazed display frame, forming part of a larger lifetime collection that once totalled approximately 250 examples.
This particular frame was presented to a former student of Callaway, adding an additional layer of historical and sentimental provenance.
The collection spans multiple countries, competitions, and governing bodies, offering a visual record of international skating culture across the mid to late 20th century.
A compelling piece for collectors of Olympic memorabilia, sporting history, or skating heritage.
