This beautifully hand-painted ceramic platter is a striking example of traditional Italian majolica from the renowned ceramics region of Gubbio.
Crafted by La Gioconda, a noted pottery studio in Umbria, this piece showcases the intricate craftsmanship Italy is famous for.
Decorated in a rich palette of red, cream, and soft blue, the platter features a stylized central bird amid scrolling foliage—an homage to Renaissance designs typical of Deruta and Gubbio ceramics.
The scalloped edge is finished with rhythmic swirl and floral motifs that add depth and movement to the design.
The reverse bears the signature “La Gioconda Gubbio” and “Dipinto a mano” (hand-painted), affirming its artisanal origin.
