Description
A decorative pair of French Art Deco bookends dating to circa 1930, each featuring a cast spelter pheasant mounted on a rectangular white marble base.
The birds have an attractive aged green and bronze-toned patina, with individually modelled feathers, long tails and detailed legs and feet.
The simple marble plinths provide a classic contrast to the figures and are typical of French decorative pieces from the Art Deco period.
