Each vase displays the traditional cloisonné technique, where fine metal wires create compartments filled with coloured enamel to produce elaborate decorative patterns.

The design incorporates repeating floral and butterfly motifs alongside central bird panels, creating a vibrant and highly decorative appearance from every angle.

Chinese cloisonné became particularly popular during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, prized for its rich colours, skilled craftsmanship and ornamental appeal.
