Description

Width: 36.5cm

Height: 21cm

An unusual preserved taxidermy flying fish, mounted horizontally on a traditional dark wooden display stand with an informative specimen-style plaque.

The fish has a wonderfully curious appearance, with its elongated body, distinctive head and large wing-like pectoral fins.

The naturally dried finish and warm muted colouring give it the character of an old natural history specimen.

A striking decorative piece for a cabinet of curiosities, taxidermy collection or natural history display.
