A striking and rare piece of mid-century haberdashery history, this original AERO knitting needle advertising display stand by Abel Morrall Ltd of Redditch was once a familiar sight in British wool shops.

Featuring its iconic “See the Name on Every Knob” branding and constructed from painted wood with multiple storage slots, this stand would have been used to house sets of four double-pointed knitting needles for in-store display and customer selection.

The display features the central raised “AERO” emblem in cast metal and retains much of its original hand-painted signage, including “Sets of Four” on the front panel and branding on the reverse panels.

It is stocked with a charming variety of vintage knitting needles in aluminium, plastic, and bakelite, including marked AERO, Phantom 6, and size labels such as 3¾mm. This display is not only functional but highly decorative – a superb feature piece for any craft room, shop interior, or collector of sewing memorabilia.
