Description

A charming early Chad Valley “Wee-Kin” clockwork racing car, dating from around the 1930s–1940s and made in England.

The small metal racing car has a wonderfully streamlined pre-war design, finished in blue with silver detailing, moulded engine and exhaust features and the remains of its original racing roundel to the side.

The underside is clearly marked “THE CHAD VALLEY CO LTD – MADE IN ENGLAND” together with “WEE-KIN” and the registered design marking.

The original clockwork mechanism is present.

A lovely early British toy and a particularly collectable piece of Chad Valley motoring history, with plenty of genuine play-worn character.
