This serene figure is depicted in the classic Bhumisparsha Mudra (earth-touching gesture), symbolizing the moment of enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree.

The Buddha is seated cross-legged on a lotus base, intricately decorated with scrolling patterns and highlighted in red and green pigments.

The figure retains much of its original gilt surface, which has gracefully aged with wear and patina, enhancing its character and spiritual presence. Inlaid with vibrant faux gemstones along the robes and crown, this piece combines sacred symbolism with a strong decorative appeal.
