A wonderfully unusual original “Chi-Chi” Chinese Fortune Teller set dating to 1915, complete with its original printed cardboard tube, bamboo fortune sticks, and accompanying instruction booklet.

Produced by The Pacific Coast Dry Goods Co. of San Francisco, California, this fascinating early 20th century novelty game and fortune telling set was marketed as “The Oldest Known Method of Fortune Telling in the World.”

The surviving printed graphics and typography give the piece tremendous visual appeal, making it equally desirable as a collectible display item and social history curiosity.

The set retains a large quantity of the original numbered bamboo fortune sticks together with the rare paper instruction booklet and original cylindrical storage case.

Pieces of this nature are increasingly difficult to find complete, especially with their original packaging intact.
