A striking pair of Carlton Ware Rouge Royale candlesticks, finished in the highly sought-after deep oxblood red lustre glaze with richly gilded interiors, handles and decorative detailing.

Each candlestick features a different hand painted Oriental-inspired scene.

One is decorated with fruiting branches and butterflies, while the other depicts a pagoda landscape with bridge and riverboat, all highlighted with fine gilt embellishment.

The luxurious Rouge Royale finish was one of Carlton Ware’s most distinctive and collectible ranges, prized for its rich colour and decorative artistry.
