Description
A vintage Matchbox Stingray Marina figure, still sealed on its original illustrated backing card.
Released in 1992 under licence from ITC Entertainment, this figure represents Marina, one of the most recognisable characters from Gerry Anderson’s classic underwater science-fiction series Stingray.
Daughter of Aphony, ruler of the peaceful underwater kingdom of Pacifica, Marina became a central figure in the adventures of Stingray and the World Aquanaut Security Patrol (W.A.S.P.).
This example remains factory sealed on its original backing card and includes the original accessory.
The colourful packaging features dramatic underwater artwork together with imagery from the wider Stingray toy range, making it an attractive display piece in its own right.
The short-lived 1992 Matchbox Stingray range has become increasingly collectible, particularly sealed carded examples that have survived in original packaging.
Combining television nostalgia, Gerry Anderson collectability and vintage toy appeal, this is an excellent addition to any collection.
