A very large and substantial biotite mica mineral specimen, weighing approximately 2.75kg, originating from Córdoba, Spain.
The specimen features an impressive exposed dark biotite-rich face with the characteristic black to deep brown lustrous appearance of the mineral, surrounded by its natural coarse matrix with contrasting reddish-brown and black mineral formations.
A particularly substantial geological specimen with excellent visual interest and considerable weight, ideal for a serious mineral collection, natural history display or cabinet of curiosities.
The specimen retains its previous collector’s identification label recording the locality as Córdoba, Spain, weight of 2.75kg, and a date of 1/75, suggesting it was catalogued in January 1975.
