Description
Height: 59cm
Width: 32cm
A large vintage hollow plaster bust depicting Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, with a dramatic classical appearance.
The figure is modelled with a powerful bearded face, flowing hair and prominent classical features, raised upon an integral socle base.
Finished in an aged off-white tone, the surface has naturally developed marks, rubbing and patination which give the bust an attractive time-worn appearance.
A substantial decorative piece that would work particularly well in a classical, maximalist or antiquarian interior.
