Large vintage Czech brooch of oval form, constructed in gilt-tone metal with an intricate pierced filigree setting.
The brooch is centred by a large oval blue marbled glass cabochon, surrounded by applied floral, leaf and scrolling decoration.
Smaller bright turquoise blue glass cabochons are set throughout the design, providing contrast against the aged gilt metalwork.
The reverse shows the detailed openwork construction and is stamped CZECH, retaining its long pin fastening.
A substantial and highly decorative example of vintage Czech costume jewellery.
