Description
An impressive large taxidermy seagull presented in a dramatic spread-wing pose, creating a substantial natural history display with real presence.
Mounted on a simple dark wooden base, the bird is posed low with both wings fully extended, showcasing the impressive wingspan and soft grey and cream plumage.
The unusual positioning gives the piece a sculptural quality and makes it particularly striking when displayed on a large table, cabinet, shelf or as part of a larger Wunderkammer collection.
A wonderfully characterful piece of vintage taxidermy and an excellent statement specimen for collectors of natural history, curiosities and unusual interiors.
This is an older taxidermy specimen and shows visible age-related wear, including feather loss, discolouration and general deterioration in places.
This forms part of its aged character and has been photographed clearly. Please study all photographs carefully for condition before purchasing.
Care Instructions:
Keep indoors in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive heat. Handle carefully by the base rather than the wings or feathers. Dust very gently using a soft brush or low-pressure air.
