A striking signed Swedish studio art glass dish by renowned designer Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, featuring a deeply sculptural clear glass form centred around a copper-toned heart motif panel.

This beautifully executed piece combines thick Scandinavian crystal glass with Vallien’s instantly recognisable symbolic imagery, incorporating pierced heart forms, arrow motifs, and textured metallic detailing suspended within the design.

The shallow freeform dish shape gives the piece both sculptural and functional appeal, working equally well as a display object or decorative catchall.

Signed to the underside “B Vallien” alongside the edition/model number 7070826, and retaining the original Kosta Boda Sweden label.

Bertil Vallien is one of Sweden’s most celebrated glass artists and has been associated with Kosta Boda since the 1960s.

His work is internationally recognised for blending mythology, symbolism, romance, and experimental glass techniques into highly collectible contemporary Scandinavian art glass.
