Sir Cluckington has survived the battlefield, escaped the roasting tray and now stands ready to defend the realm.
A wonderfully bizarre anthropomorphic taxidermy creation featuring a genuine chicken specimen transformed into a full medieval knight.
The chicken is presented emerging from an elaborate suit of silver-effect plate armour, complete with engraved detailing, articulated-style gauntlets, shoulder plates, greaves and a sweeping cape.
Rather than arriving armed for battle, Sir Cluckington carries a miniature jack-o’-lantern beneath one arm, giving the piece a brilliantly strange
medieval-meets-Halloween character.
The combination of the natural feathered head and neck with the imposing human-form armour makes this an especially surreal display piece.
Standing upon its own substantial square plinth, this is a large statement curiosity designed to be displayed rather than tucked away.
Equal parts macabre, ridiculous and magnificent, it would sit perfectly within a gothic interior, Wunderkammer, maximalist home, unusual taxidermy collection or anywhere in need of a heavily armoured chicken.
A completely unforgettable piece of eccentric taxidermy art.
Care Instructions:
Keep indoors in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture. Dust gently using a soft, dry brush or air blower. Avoid handling the specimen by the feathers, head or decorative accessories.
