Description
Width: 34cm
Height: 20cm
An impressive full taxidermy terrapin specimen, believed to be a slider-type turtle (Trachemys sp.), preserved in a standing pose.
A substantial specimen with a beautifully patterned dark carapace, striped head and neck, clawed feet and characterful open-mouth pose.
The preservation has retained a great deal of the natural patterning across both the shell and soft tissue, making this a particularly striking natural history display piece.
Its generous size gives it considerable presence and it would make an unusual addition to a taxidermy collection, natural history display or cabinet of curiosities.
