A whimsical Wade Tetley Tea Folk novelty teapot produced by Teapottery, featuring a travelling gentleman seated atop a vintage suitcase decorated with international destinations including Venice, Pisa, Egypt, India and Japan.

Finished in a smart grey glaze with black and gilt detailing, this charming character teapot captures the playful and imaginative designs for which the Tetley Tea Folk series became so popular.

The stylised figure forms the handle and lid, while the coat creates the body of the teapot, resulting in a wonderfully sculptural display piece.

Produced by Teapottery in England under licence from Tetley, these character teapots have become highly collectible and are sought after by collectors of advertising memorabilia, novelty ceramics and Tetley Tea Folk items.
