A superb Moorcroft footed bowl decorated in the iconic Hibiscus pattern, one of the most recognisable and enduring designs associated with Walter Moorcroft.
Set against a rich green ground, the bowl is adorned with large hand-tubelined hibiscus blooms in vibrant shades of crimson, burgundy and yellow, framed by stylised green foliage.
The deep bowl form allows the pattern to flow seamlessly across both the interior and exterior surfaces, creating a striking visual impact from every angle.
The raised tube-lined decoration, lustrous glaze and bold colour palette exemplify the craftsmanship that established Moorcroft as one of Britain’s foremost art pottery manufacturers.
The underside bears the impressed and painted Moorcroft marks, together with the period paper label referencing the Royal Warrant as potters to Queen Mary.
A fine example of British art pottery that will appeal to both seasoned Moorcroft collectors and those seeking a decorative statement piece.
