A bold and highly collectible Lorna Bailey studio pottery vase in the artist’s unmistakable Art Deco inspired style, decorated with striking geometric forms and vivid bands of red, orange, yellow, black, cream and pale blue.

This sculptural piece showcases Bailey’s iconic interpretation of Clarice Cliff and British Art Deco design, featuring strong architectural lines, stylised landscape elements, and vibrant hand-painted decoration.

The form itself is wonderfully unusual, with a flattened circular silhouette and angular neck and foot, giving the vase a dramatic modernist presence.

Marked to the underside with the Old Ellgreave Pottery stamp and signed “L. Bailey” alongside the titled design “Stroke-on-Trent,” a playful nod to the Stoke-on-Trent pottery heritage that heavily influenced Bailey’s work.
