Antique sterling silver brooch set with a large central faceted rock crystal panel, reverse-carved with a delicate floral design.

The rock crystal is surrounded by an elaborate border of numerous faceted deep red garnets, individually claw-set in a radiating floral formation.

The contrast between the clear engraved crystal and rich garnet border gives the brooch a particularly striking appearance.

The reverse retains its original-style pin fitting, with the open-backed setting allowing the engraved floral decoration of the rock crystal to remain visible.
