Antique sterling silver and guilloché enamel box by Charles Horner, of rounded triangular form.
The exterior is finished in pale blue translucent enamel over finely engine-turned guilloché decoration, with a central floral design to the lid and further wave-pattern decoration around the border and sides.
The box has gilt-finished edges and a gilt interior, with a hinged lid and fitted closure.
The underside bears the maker’s mark CH for Charles Horner alongside silver hallmarks.
A particularly attractive example of Charles Horner silver and enamel work, combining finely detailed guilloché decoration with an unusual triangular form.
