A fantastic 1960s Gorgo Veloflech tinplate friction toy, made in Argentina, with a wonderfully futuristic space-age design.

The streamlined red tinplate vehicle features two moulded astronaut drivers with blue visors, a detailed lithographed control panel and distinctive rocket-like bodywork.

The unusual elongated form gives it a strong 1960s science-fiction aesthetic.

The underside is stamped “Gorgo Veloflech – Industria Argentina” and retains the original wheels and friction mechanism.
