An interesting piece of Northumberland canine society history, this oak-mounted perpetual challenge shield was awarded by the Alnwick & District Canine Society.
The central shield is engraved “Perpetual Challenge Shield” and records awards for the exhibit gaining the most points throughout the year.
The surrounding engraved plaques record winners from the mid to late 1960s, providing a fascinating snapshot of local dog show history.
Crafted from oak with polished metal presentation plaques, the shield can be wall-mounted or displayed freestanding via the rear support.
