A beautifully crafted handmade Byzantine-style religious icon depicting the Madonna and Child in a tender embrace.

Produced using traditional iconographic techniques, the image is presented on an aged wooden panel with a distressed gilt-effect surround, capturing the appearance and spirit of historic Eastern Orthodox devotional art.

The reverse retains its original certificate stating the icon is a handmade selected copy of an old Byzantine icon, worked on canvas, old wood and set against a gold background.
