Produced by the renowned English ceramics manufacturer Beswick, this impressive sculpture captures the grace and musculature of one of the world’s most formidable big cats.

The animal is shown with mouth open and forepaw raised, creating a wonderfully dynamic sense of movement and tension.

Finished in subtle graduated tones with carefully shaded detailing to the face, body and tail, the model demonstrates the high standard of naturalistic animal modelling for which Beswick became internationally celebrated throughout the twentieth century.

The underside bears the impressed model number 1702 together with the printed Beswick England mark.
