Meet Esmeralda — a wonderfully eccentric taxidermy rabbit presented in an elaborate period-style costume, complete with an extravagant lace bonnet, layered grey gown, ruffles, bows, floral embellishments and decorative trim.

Her pale colouring and striking glass eyes make her especially characterful, while the sheer scale and detail of the costume turn her into much more than a traditional taxidermy specimen.

She looks rather like the formidable matriarch of a deeply questionable Victorian rabbit dynasty.

A fantastic statement piece for a curiosity cabinet, gothic or maximalist interior, theatrical collection or collector of unusual anthropomorphic taxidermy.

As with all taxidermy, she is best displayed away from strong sunlight and excessive handling to help preserve the specimen and textiles
