A large and striking 19th century standing crucifix, formed from ebonised wood and raised upon a substantial turned circular pedestal base.

The cross is mounted with a finely detailed silver-tone figure of Christ, together with a raised INRI plaque above.

Small contrasting finials finish the ends of the cross, giving the piece a particularly elegant ecclesiastical appearance.

The tall proportions and deep black ebonised finish make this an impressive devotional or decorative antique, suitable for display amongst religious antiques, ecclesiastical pieces or a traditional collection.

Good antique condition overall with age-related surface wear, marks and rubbing to the ebonised finish consistent with its 19th century age. Please study photographs for condition.
