Description
Height: 45.5cm
Width: 70cm
A traditional taxidermy male pheasant, presented standing in a natural pose on a rustic birch wood base.
The specimen retains the characteristic rich colouring of the cock pheasant, with warm chestnut and copper-toned plumage, patterned wings and an iridescent dark green and blue neck with distinctive white collar.
Mounted simply on a section of natural birch, the understated presentation allows the pheasant itself to remain the focus and gives the piece a classic country house appearance.
A decorative example of traditional British taxidermy, ideal for a country interior, natural history collection, shooting lodge display or cabinet of curiosities.
Vintage taxidermy with age-related wear and imperfections present. Please study all photographs carefully as these form part of the condition description.
Care Instructions:
Keep indoors in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture. Dust gently using a soft brush or low-pressure air and avoid handling the feathers unnecessarily.
