Description

An original Prussian lance cap (Pickelhaube), dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, associated with Imperial German cavalry and lancer regiments.

This example features the distinctive high-domed leather body with extended rear skirt, surmounted by a cruciform spike mount (lance fitting), characteristic of lancer helmets.

The front is mounted with a detailed brass Prussian eagle plate, displaying the royal coat of arms, a defining symbol of Imperial German military equipment.

The helmet retains its blackened leather finish with brass trim to the peak, alongside original fittings including side mounts for the chinstrap.
