An attractive Edwardian oak stool dating to the early 20th century, featuring four distinctive bobbin-turned legs and a solid carved rectangular top.
The top is decorated with a large stylised floral motif to the centre, surrounded by a deeply carved repeating border.
The dark oak has developed a rich colour and patina, with the turned legs giving the piece a particularly decorative Arts & Crafts-inspired appearance.
A useful small piece of period furniture, suitable as a footstool, plant stand or decorative occasional stool.
Shows general surface wear, knocks and marks consistent with age and use, as shown in the photographs.
