Description

A charming vintage German child’s miniature sewing machine, dating from approximately the 1940s–1950s.

Made from metal and finished in blue, the machine features a hand-operated side wheel, spool pin, needle mechanism, presser foot and metal sewing plate.

The original body retains its decorative transfer reading “Spezialnähmaschine” (special sewing machine).

Mounted on its original blue metal base, it has plenty of age-related wear, paint loss, surface marks and oxidation, giving it a particularly attractive timeworn appearance.

Originally produced as a functional child’s sewing machine rather than simply a model, these miniature machines are now highly decorative and collectable examples of mid-century European toys.
