Description

Height: 33.5cm

Width: 10cm

A traditional vintage plaster statue depicting Jesus Christ and the Sacred Heart, finished in muted red, gold and natural tones.

Christ is modelled standing with one hand pointing towards the Sacred Heart upon his chest, depicted with the traditional crown of thorns and flames.

The figure retains its original-looking painted and gilt decoration and stands upon an integral black-painted base.

A particularly characterful devotional piece with an attractive aged appearance, ideal for a collection of religious, ecclesiastical or Catholic antiques.

There is considerable age-related wear, including rubbing, paint loss, small chips and surface marks throughout, giving the figure a naturally timeworn appearance.
